His comedy reminds me of Doonesbury comic strip. It doesn’t grab me, but yet there’s an understanding that it’s complexly cerebral in part because it lacks ‘pop’. In contrast, Carlos Mencia has ‘pop’. Eddie Murphy has ‘pop’.

Hicks didn’t like Reagan because he started the war on drugs; Bill Hicks loved drugs, hence the youtube video titled “Mandatory Marijuana.” Hicks overall motif was freedom of choice as well as generally anti big government. If you were a bit more informed you would realize that Paul wishes to put an end to the war on drugs, and is in strong support of limited government. It’s YOU who couldn’t be more wrong. P.S. @havz0r you’re being snobby, like ‘musicians’ can be snobby. Carlos is a comedic artist, better than nearly all other pro comedians. It’s like Doonesbury versus Bloom County comic strips. I go with Bloom County, more expressive and engagingly entertaining.

carlos mencia is a comidic thief. to compare him to any top comidian is a disgrace. bill hicks was a pioneer in putting political & lifestyle truth into comedy. if you want to put mencia next to the great comidic geniuses. such as lenny bruce, george carlin, bill hicks, richard pryor, and others. you have no clue what true comedy is.
